The Campus of the Church of the Transfiguration is located in the heart of Evergreen. Many of Evergreen’s treasured historic landmarks, including the bell tower, are still in use by this active congregation. Buildings date back to the 1860’s and many have been restored. Photographers value the graceful and beautiful settings that the property offers, such as the scenic meadow with Bear Creek running through it, rustic cabins, and forested mountain sides.
Our facilities include our main church building which can accommodate an indoor wedding of up to 150 people. Our historic pipe organ in our sanctuary can add a traditional flare.
If you are planning an outdoor wedding and/or reception, our large, grassy meadow is convenient to the Denver area while still providing all the charm of a mountain setting.
We also have a small beautiful chapel for a wedding with up to 25 guests.

About our Meadow

About our Chapel
One of the original buildings in Evergreen, the chapel is the perfect setting for an intimate ceremony, seating up to 25 guests. The chapel dates back to the early 1900's and was designed by Jock Spence, Evergreen's renowned architect. It features the original wooden interior walls and wooden pews. Antique carved figurines add a sacred touch throughout the building. There is an ambiance of warmth and simplicity that is created by delicate stained glass windows.
Where We Are In Evergreen
We are located just off of Highway 74 in beautiful downtown Evergreen.
From 70 E, take Exit 254, Evergreen Parkway. Travel past the lake, through downtown Evergreen. The Church of the Transfiguration will be on the right just past Meadow Drive.

- Schedule a tour.
- For weddings larger than 30 people, we recommend that you contact Anna Schmidt to handle your wedding details.
- Review and sign contract.
- Confirm the date and time for both the rehearsal and the wedding.
- Provide the required deposit to hold your date.
- One month prior to the wedding meet with your event coordinator to confirm wedding/reception set up and delivery schedule.

About the Clergy
At the Church of the Transfiguration, wedding parties are more than welcome to provide their own clergy. If you would prefer to use our priest, Father Mike will be happy to assist you. Weddings conducted by our priest are flexible enough to allow for your individual requests. Marriage preparation counseling is required.
